Prevent Breast Cancer by Eating Walnuts

Walnuts  (Canarium ovatum)  was provide some health benefits . In fact, the properties contained within the walnut kernels was allegedly able to reduce the risk of breast cancer significantly. The findings are based on research results by researchers from Marshall University, which was reported in the journal Nutrition and Cancer.
In their research, they do testing on rats to see the benefits of walnut consumption. The result, the risk of breast cancer dropped significantly in the mice that ate walnuts every day with a moderate amount.
The study, led by Elaine Hardman, of Marshall's Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, also compared the effects of the consumption of certain foods with a diet containing walnuts. Total consumption of walnuts in a test equivalent to about 2 ounces per day for humans.
Hardman said that during the study period, the group who ate the walnuts to the second phase having a half reduction in breast cancer compared with the diet without walnuts. In fact, tumor number and size of breast cancer is significantly much smaller in those who consumed nuts.
Elements contained in walnuts include: polyphenols, phytosterols, melatonin, carotenoids and alpha-linolenic acid, which is the type of omega 3 fatty acids.
Element is a bioactive component that serves to inhibit the formation of breast cancer.
Consume walnuts regularly can reduce levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase healthy cholesterol (HDL) in the body.
